What is the Scientific Research Visa?
The Non-Immigrant RS (Research & Science) Visa is designed for experts and researchers conducting scientific work with a Thai institute.

Research Duration
Requirements
- Official letter from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).
- Collaboration contract with a Thai entity.
- Proof of qualifications (PhD, Master, Publications).
- Proof of research funding.
Research Activity
Scope of work
This visa authorizes research activities described in the contract. It does not allow working for a private company outside the research project.
Renewal
Renewable based on the progress of the research project and funding.
Approval Required
NRCT Approval
The most difficult step is obtaining approval from the National Research Council. Without this, the RS visa cannot be issued.
